Scholarships at Southampton Business School

A scholarship of £3,000 is available to international students from East Asia studying a postgraduate master’s course, other than the MBA, at Southampton Business School.

To be eligible for this scholarship you must: 

• be an international student from mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Mongolia, North Korea, South Korea and Taiwan.

• have an IELTS score of IELTS 7.0 overall with minimum 6.5 in all components, except if you're studying Business Analytics and Finance, Business Analytics and Management Science, Human Resource Management (MSc), Logistics and Supply Chain Analytics or Strategic Operations and Supply Chain Management, where the requirement is 7.5 overall with minimum 7.0 in all components.

• have a conditional or unconditional offer.

We determine your residency as where you have been living for a 3 year period or longer before the start of the course. This does not include where you are living for study purposes, if it is somewhere different to where you normally live. 

These scholarships of £12,000 are available to students studying for the Master of Business Administration (MBA). 

One scholarship is available for a student from each of the following regions:

• South East Asia.

• The Middle East and North Africa.

• Central and Latin America.

• North America.

• Europe.

Eligibility  

We will only consider applicants who have an offer to study at University of Southampton. 

You must:

• have been ordinarily resident in either South East Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, Central America, Latin America, North America or Europe during the 3 years before the start of the course (ignoring time spent while studying outside your usual country of residence).

• show promise as a future leader by demonstrating business excellence. 

• have a conditional or unconditional offer to study on the Master of Business Administration (MBA). 

• be paying your own fees.  

• need to pay the overseas tuition fee. 

• not be getting any external sponsorship.

These scholarships of up to £10,000 are available to international students studying for the Master of Business Administration (MBA). They are awarded to candidates who can best demonstrate business excellence in an interview. 

Scholarships are available for 3 different amounts:

• £10,000.

• £7,000.

• £4,000.

Eligibility  

We will only consider applicants who have an offer to study at Southampton University. 

You must: 

• need to pay the overseas tuition fee. 

• be paying your fees yourself.

• not have any external sponsorship. 

• have a conditional or unconditional offer to study on the Master of Business Administration (MBA).

 Deadline for applications

You must submit your application to study for the MBA by 31 July 2024 in order to be considered for this scholarship. 

A scholarship of £3,000 is available to international students studying an eligible postgraduate master’s business.

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

• be an international student.

• have a conditional or unconditional offer to study an eligible course.

• achieve either a 2:1 in undergraduate studies or an equivalent qualification.

• be a resident of an overseas fee eligible country except China, Hong Kong or Macau.
