Overview

Bryanston is in Blandford, Dorset, England, near the village of Bryanston. It is a member of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference Group. It has a reputation of a liberal and artistic school. It has enviable facilities:
  • Over 400 acres (1.6 km2) of grounds
  • A 25 metre indoor heated pool
  • 4 indoor squash courts
  • 3 indoor eton fives courts
  • Free weights room
  • Gym ( Rowing Machines, Treadmills, Cross-trainers, Exercise bikes, Benches, Multi gyms)
  • 2 sport halls (1 wooden gymnasium)
  • Up to 50 tennis courts ( 37 permanent: 10 grass, 12 carpet, 15 hard)

Every school will tell you that it cares about the individual. At Bryanston, it is the academic achievement of the individual rather than the year group that matters, and our long-standing and successful model is based on this premise. Flexible timetable arrangements accommodate individual requirements, and the balance between lessons and supervised study or ‘assignment’ periods is carefully controlled. Unique Points

Each year, the JACT Ancient Greek Summer School is held at Bryanston; the school has played host to many of the UK's classicists, both as teachers and pupils. They have an Outdoor Greek Theatre for plays entirely in Ancient Greek. They are modern too - the pop star Lily Allen is a former pupil.

Entry Requirements

Most pupils join the School at 13+, having passed Common Entrance examinations in June of their year of entry. Pupils are expected to achieve 50% in all papers to qualify for an offer of a place. Prospective pupils who have not been prepared for Common Entrance must pass entrance examinations set by the School, in February of the year of entry, in English, Science, Maths and a modern foreign language. Particularly able pupils may sit additional papers and be considered for an Academic Award. If space is available it may be possible to join the School’s second year, for the start of GCSE courses, but this is not a normal point of entry.

Breckett Front   I believe my success is due to the great support provided by SI-UK. I was advised the right IELTS courses to attend and they also helped with my visa application. I really want to share with you my positive experience and I would definitely recommend SI-UK to my friends.  Breckett Front
